The Seahorse
Seahorse Kitchen Porter
At The Seahorse, hospitality is more than service. Nestled on the banks of the River Dart in Dartmouth, our celebrated restaurant, Joes bar and Catina (private dining) are a place where guests gather to enjoy exquisite seafood, fine wines, and warm hospitality. Named one of the “Top Restaurant in the UK” and “Seafood Restaurant of the year outside of London” we take pride in crafting unforgettable dining experiences. Over the last 18 years The Seahorse has created a rhythm behind every service. Today, Mitch Tonks son Ben Tonks leads The Seahorse with our spirited team, honouring the ethos his father built. From The boats unloading in Brixham, the charcoal being lit, the tables being laid and menus signed for nights worth remembering. Our menu changes with the tide. What arrives from Brixham Fish Market each morning shapes everything that follows. The Seahorse has that same quality you find in the great neighbourhood restaurants of Venice or Lisbon: full of locals, families, and regulars for whom it has always simply been part of life.
Our team is enthusiastic and full of personality and understand that true hospitality is as much about how it feels to walk through the door as what is on the plate. We are small team and at 5pm, we sit down together for dinner, moments to share something good to eat, talk, laugh and get ready to welcome our guests.
